Platinum Bar Heraeus - 500 gram

Platinum’s name is derived from the Spanish term "Platina del Pinto", which is literally translated into "little silver of the Pinto river". Platinum is one of the rarest elements found in the Earth's crust with annual production of around 30 metric tons (vs. ~2,500 tons for gold and ~ 23,000 tons for silver). Mining is very geographically concentrated as South Africa accounts for over 80% of the world production.

The 500 gram Heraeus minted platinum bars is .9995 pure platinum and is guaranteed by the Heraeus.

Each bar is stamped with its exact weight and purity, and bears the Heraeus logo, an internationally recognized symbol of quality and sound provenance. The 500 gram platinum bar is one of the biggest sized platinum bar products in the market, thus premiums are one of the lowest. Each bar is encased and sealed in soft plastic sleeves.
